I also think crawling will come sooner than the books say. I put her on her tummy and she lifts her entire torso up and begins scooting forward.  

Hey everyone! The teething phase has begun and is riddled with slobber, trying to fit her entire fist in her mouth and chewing on everything in sight! This is Abby Kate's teething face which I so stinkin cute it almost makes me forget the pool of slobber that has puddled on my shirt. She sticks that lip out so far it is not even funny. The teething plus rolling over all the time is not making for very fun sleep. Last night she woke up every hour from 12:30 on. I feel like I just got home from a junior high slumber party. She did roll over from her back to stomach today so there may be hope yet. Plus she is learning to put her paci back in so if I could just get those 2 things to jive, we might get a full nights rest again!

Abby Kate and I got to spend Saturday with the Lovell family (Bobby's Moms family) in Ozark. We had such a great time. Here is AK with her cousin Kourtney. I was so humbled to watch them together. I was the oldest cousin on my Mom's side and always took that responsibility so seriously. I am constantly amazed at Kourtney's maturity, genuine kindness and sweet spirit. Krista has done an amazing job raising her. I am so thankful Abby Kate has her as her only older cousin. AK was already fascinated with her. Kourtney patiently played with her for hours.

One of our dogs Callie that stands watch by Abby Kate's swing. She usually just sits there and watches her...but tried to "kiss" her any chance she gets (something I definitely try to discourage!) 

Hi everyone! So sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have had tons of pics but just haven't had the time to sit down and do it! I though this was so funny. She pulled her paci out and then proceeded to look at it for 15 minutes. She was so fascinated by it!  

More Bumbo! 

We got Abby Kate a Bumbo seat today. I have been reading about them for months and KNEW she would love it. She is trying so hard to sit up and just can't yet. This seat is designed to support their necks and allow them to sit up and be part of the party! She LOVED it! We are going out to dinner tonight and are taking it so she can be part of the fun!

Sorry I havent posted in a while! I came down with the flu and am finally feeling back to normal! I fell in love with these pictures. Abby Kate ADORES her Daddy and gets so excited when he comes home. They love to play together at night! 

Good Morning! Abby Kate woke up happy this morning. It is a beautiful day here and I cannot wait to open my windows! She is loving being in onesies with her legs bare. We spent the weekend with Neannie and Pop (Bobby's parents) and had such a great time! Hope you all had wonderful weekends...  

We had a BIG celebration today...Abby Kate slept from 9:30-7:00 this morning! It was AMAZING. I went in to check on her at 5:30 to see if she was still breathing! Though this is not the best pic, she wore her OSU onesie from the Dodsons on her first full nights sleep (look at her crazy hair would ya? She slept HARD!) It also shows her dimple which is huge in real life but hard to catch on film. It still has us puzzled as to where it came from. Hope you are all having a wonderful Friday! 

During Abby Kate's 9-10:30 nap this morning, I heard her fussing so I went in to check on her. Her eyes were still closed so I left her alone. About 10 minutes later I heard her talking. I walked in and this is what I found! She is a tummy sleeper and had rolled over! I think it really surprised her but began chatting away to her bumper pads almost immediately! 

We have worked really hard to get AK on a schedule and it is finally paying off. She is sleeping through the night (9:30-5:30am) and takes great naps. I have been really struggling with not being legalistic about her schedule and I know to be a great Mom, I have to get out and do things I enjoy too. I have felt kind of trapped with her schedule (trying to go somewhere between nap/feed times) but I finally gave in on a beautiful day this week. She LOVED it! And even napped while Bobby and I ate lunch. It was perfection!
