Holy Moly....we are one month away from a birthday! This year has FLOWN! It seems lots has happened this month. Quite frankly, I am daily watching my baby morph into this

precocious, funny, observant little girl. It is crazy. I drove by an elementary school yesterday and my heart constricted thinking it will be tomorrow and she will be going off to school. I am learning to TREASURE this season. If I could skip the baby phase (I truly and simply do NOT do well with no sleep) and they would be born at this age, I would have 20. So onto our month... she now has 6 teeth which all seemed to come in at once. She is talking up a storm and actually making sense. As you all saw in her video, she is obsessed with birds and says bird every chance she gets. She flaps her wings wildly and gestures saying "BIRD, BIRD!" for all to hear (now before you get any ideas...she (ie: us) do NOT want a bird for her birthday. I promise I will kill you if you try it). She is appropriately saying Mama and Dada to identify Bobby and I. She says BaBa for bye bye and waves but usually delayed (like once we get around the corner from whoever we are leaving...I think just to spite me and stifle others opinion of her brilliance). And this is a true story, I went into her room this past Saturday morning to get her up and I had on gold dangle earrings and she started touching them saying "pity Mama, pity Mama..." I promise. I really think she was saying "pretty." Fun fun. She also has started refusing baby food, only wanting the good stuff. She is a champion eater, just like her Dad and I and begs any time we are eating. She really is worse than our dogs. She got to try her Sweetie's Chicken and Dumplings and truly devoured them (as any normal person would). As I mentioned before, she LOVES bread. I mean anything with flour. Seriously. She loves her whole wheat bagels with turkey and cheese for lunch. She can eat a half of a bagel all by herself. I am paranoid she is eating too much so you nutrition experts out there shout at me if I am creating an obese child through this! She also still loves fruit. The veggies have taken a backseat but I still make her eat them (and in true inheirited drama fashion, she gags and gags until she swallows).
She also really is funny. I had a large cardboard box from Sam's that I let her play with and she kept trying to pull up with it and it kept moving. She tried and tried and then finally just looked at me and put her hands out and SHRUGGED! I promise. I about died. She also LOVES mimicking. I can make noises and she will mimic them back to me all day. She has a really great laugh and will giggle and giggle while we do this. She still LOVES music. I am convinced she will be the next musical prodigy and not just because I am her Mom. It is insane how much she loves music. We got her a Silly Songs with Larry dvd that is 48 minutes long and she will sit still as a pole for the WHOLE video. She bounces and tries to sing. For a while, even when there was no music playing, she would bounce and "sing" and clap and it took me a while to realize she WAS trying to sing. I need to capture that on video....
All that to say, this 11 month old is growing up fast. We
truly delight in her. She brings such joy every day and we are SO thankful God entrusted her to us.
